She spent ten years in corporate human resources before becoming a full-time mom and part-time entrepreneur. Her entrepreneurial ventures have included contract executive search, children's birthday party planning and personalized stationery manufacturing. Each of these endeavors allowed Allison the opportunity to keep one foot in the business world while she raised her children.
In 2009, Allison and her husband David began developing Revved Up Kids, LLC®. They recognized a need in the Atlanta area for convenient child self-defense classes that would form a foundation for busy families to maintain on ongoing safety dialogue. The company was incorporated in 2010 and the Neals are working to bring the classes to as many metro area children as possible in the coming years. Allison's firsthand knowledge of the challenges of parenting young children and the strains on busy families gave her a unique and valuable perspective when developing the Revved Up Kids curriculum. The classes teach safety & self-defense in an entertaining and memorable format; and parents are given resources to continue teaching their children at home. |
